Top Tip for short
breaks and weekend breaks !
Hotels in the big cities generally make their money from the business travellers
staying from Monday to Friday. Come the weekends and the business travellers
return home, and so the city hotels are more likely to have special offers
or cheaper prices to tempt holiday travellers on the weekends when they may
otherwise have vacancies.
On the other hand, seaside resorts, holiday resorts, historic towns and country
hotels are busier on the weekends, (especially out of high season) and thus
may make their special offers to include midweek bookings.
The conclusion to draw is that if you have the choice then choose a city break
for weekends and leave the seaside resorts, historic towns or country house
hotels for midweek short breaks.
We have hotels and B&B accomodation throughout England and the UK, many
offering a weekend break, midweek short break, or various offers including
champagne weekends, three nights for the price of two, or a free evening dinner
included in the price.
