 Liverpool is one of the UK's oldest operational Airport's, situated some 7 miles South East of Liverpool City Centre and adjacent to the Mersey Estuary. Its close proximity to the border between England and Wales make it a well used airport for travelling to and from North Wales, the popular tourist City of Chester, as well as the many towns in the North West of England. Recently becoming even more popular for the EasyJet cheap flights to European destinations. There is a nice statue of John Lennon in the airport entrance hall. .........
